How to link NIN to MTN

Linking your NIN to your MTN line is a fairly straightforward process. Here are the different ways you can do it

Using USSD Code:

1. Dial 785 Your 11 digit NIN# from the phone number you wish to link.
2. Follow the prompts and input the required information.
3. You will receive a confirmation message once your NIN is linked successfully.

Using the MTN App:

1. Download the MyMTN app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open the app and log in with your MTN number.
3. Go to the "NIN" section and follow the instructions to submit your NIN details.
4. You will receive a confirmation message once your NIN is linked successfully.

Using the MTN Website:

1. Visit the MTN NIN linking portal.
2. Fill in the necessary information, including your Virtual NIN (VNIN), phone number, and email address.
3. Select "Next" and verify the information you entered.
4. You will receive an OTP via SMS to the number you inputted. Enter the OTP and validate.
5. Wait for confirmation that the linking was successful.

Additional methods:

• Visiting an MTN store: You can visit any MTN store and request assistance with linking your NIN.
• Calling MTN customer care: You can call MTN customer care on 180 and request assistance with linking your NIN.

Important notes:

• You will need your 11-digit NIN number and a phone number registered with MTN to complete the linking process.
• You can only link one NIN to a maximum of seven MTN phone numbers.
• Remember to keep your NIN confidential and avoid sharing it with anyone.
