The second round of the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, played on March 24th, delivered thrilling games and a couple of upsets that shook up the bracket. Here's a deeper dive:


Upsets: #2 seed Ohio State fell in a surprising defeat to #7 seed Duke in a 16-point comeback. This win sends the Blue Devils to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2018. 

Another noteworthy upset was #11 seed Middle Tennessee knocking off #6 seed Louisville in the first round, but their run ended in the second round against LSU.
